Sinopsis/Synopsis
Nararachi is a film that portrays the daily life of Cecilia, a mixedblood woman who lives in the indigenous community of Nararachi, in the Mexican state of Chihuahua. The film is not constructed as a lineal story, instead, each scene works as a painter’s brush freely tracing a distinctive shape: the lifestyle of the Raramuri people, the particular way in which they relate within the family, the community and their surrounding nature. The idea to make this documentary emerged from the interaction between Cecilia and the director after they met during a trip the director made to Chihuahua. It portrays the empathy, sensibility and a certain mysticism that emerged through this experience. Nararachi´s warm, intimate and profoundly human insight of the indigenous lifestyle and culture is so powerful that it enables the viewer to expand their horizon.
