David es un enfermero que trabaja con pacientes terminales. Eficiente y dedicado a su profesión, desarrolla fuertes relaciones que van más allá de la de enfermo y cuidador. Sin embargo, fuera de su trabajo, David es un hombre distante y reservado. Al pasar de un paciente a otro, vemos que David los necesita de la misma forma que ellos lo necesitan a él.

David is a nurse who works with terminally ill patients. Efficient and dedicated to his profession, he develops strong and even intimate relationships with each person he cares for. But outside of his work David is ineffectual, awkward, and reserved. It is clear that he needs each patient as much as they need him.
