Jackie quisiera dedicarse a ayudar a niños de bajos recursos con cáncer, pero Samuel, su esposo, se lo impide. En un accidente él queda en coma y, tras meses sin despertar, ella decide abandonarlo todo para cumplir su vocación altruista. Así, en un hospital de asistencia social, encuentra sentido a su vida y un nuevo amor. Inesperadamente su exesposo despierta, aunque con amnesia, y el destino los vuelve a reunir. Él no la reconoce ni la recuerda, aunque se vuelve a enamorar. ¿Dejará Jackie todo lo que ha conquistado por su primer amor?

Jackie would like to devote herself to helping poor children with cancer, but her husband, Samuel, won´t let her. An accident leaves him in a coma and, when he still has not recovered consciousness after several months, she decides to leave everything to pursue her altruistic vocation. Working in the charity hospital brings meaning to her life and a new love, while, against all odds, her ex-husband comes out of his coma, but with amnesia. Fate brings them together again. Though he does not recognize or remember her, he falls back in love with her. Will Jackie leave all she has achieved for her first love?
